Civil servants to receive 1.1-month year-end bonus. Junior grade officers get an additional one-time payment of $700.

The Amalgamated Union of Public Employees (AUPE) is appreciative of the Government accepting our proposal to pay a year-end Annual Variable Component (AVC) of 1.1 month, with an additional $700 for our officers in grades equivalent to MX15 and below. The year-end AVC is a fair payment in recognition of the good work of our officers while progressive in ensuring our lower income officers are able to cope with the effects of inflation and rising costs of living.

Together, our civil servants will receive a total of 1.45 months in 2022, with an additional lump sum payment of up to $1,100 for junior grade officers.

While Singapore’s economy growth for 2022 was sustained, significant downside risk remain due to the deteriorating global economic environment. As the economic outlook remains uncertain, we are happy of the Government’s recognition of the sustained hard work and contributions of our civil servants. AUPE remains committed to our civil servants being relevant and contributing effectively.
