Civil Servants to Receive 0.3-month Mid-year Bonus

0.3-month mid-year annual variable component (AVC) for Civil Servants;
Junior Grades officers to receive additional one-time payment of $200 or $400

The Amalgamated Union of Public Employees (AUPE) is agreeable with the Government’s decision to offer a conservative Mid-year AVC (Annual Variable Component) to our civil servants. The AVC payout will be 0.3 months, with a special one-time lump of $200 for civil servants in grades MX13 (I), MX14, and $400 for civil servants in MX15 and MX16, as well as Operations Support Scheme Grades III to IV, and similar grades.

We have taken a precautionary approach due to the prevailing economic uncertainties and notable risks in the global economy. The government affirms its dedication to appropriately reward public officers taking into consideration the economic factors and the national wages council guidelines towards the end of the year.
