Q: I would like to go for training. Is there any subsidy from the Union?
A: Yes, all union members are eligible to receive training subsidy of up to $250 per year through the Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP). If you are 40 years and above, you are eligible for a funding of up to $500 per individual each year, capped at 50% of unfunded course fees, for courses attended between 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2025.

Q: Can civil servants join the Union?
A: Yes, all civil servants can join the Union. Civil servants who are in the special category can also join the Union for social and recreational benefits.

Q: Is there any bursary award for members’ children?

Q: I am a member of both the Union and AUPE Credit Cooperative. Can I claim for hospitalisation benefits from both the Union and Co-operative?
A: Yes, you can.

Q: Can I continue on the welfare scheme for hospitalisation if I resign/retire from the agency?
You can continue to subscribe to the scheme as long as you are a AUPE Union member or AUPE Credit Cooperative (ACC) member. For ACC members who are on salary check-off for your monthly subscription and savings deduction, you will need to switch to GIRO for your monthly deductions when you leave the agency. Giro form is available here. Please complete and post the original GIRO form to AUPE Credit Cooperative, 295 Upper Paya Lebar Road.
Q: How much is the welfare benefits for death of parents/child that AUPE Union members can claim for?
A: AUPE Union members who have at least 12 month of membership and below the age of 68 years (wef 1 Jan 2022) will be able to claim welfare benefit for:
- $150 in the case of death of member’s parent.
- $75 in the case of death of member’s child between ages 1 and 17 years.
