The Amalgamated Union of Public Employees (AUPE) has negotiated for and appreciates the Government’s decision to provide a year-end AVC payout of 1.05-months for all civil servants, plus additional one-time payment of $600. This surpasses the year-end payout in 2023 and is reflective of a better economic climate and positive labour outlook.
▪️ 1.05-months year-end bonus in 2024
▪️ Lump sum of $600 for civil servants in grades equivalent to MX15 and MX16, and those in the Operations Support Scheme (OSS)
“AUPE believes that it is important that when our economy does well, our civil servants who have contributed to this success are rewarded accordingly.” said Mr Sanjeev, Amalgamated Union of Public Employees (AUPE) General Secretary.
Taken together with the mid-year payments, civil servants will receive a total of 1.5-months in full-year AVC, with junior grades officers receiving total lump-sum payments of up to $850 in 2024.
AUPE thanks public officers for their dedicated service and commitment in their roles. We remain steadfast in representing our public officers and in enhancing their wages, welfare and work prospects. AUPE continues to encourage all our public officers to do their best, stay relevant through the necessary upgrading programs and we look forward to more good years ahead.
