Medical Claims made easier at MBS@Gov clinics
MBS@Gov is a medical billing system introduced by the Accountant-General’s
Department (AGD) in November 2006 which simplifies the medical claims process
for civil servants and their dependants, thus providing greater convenience and
time-savings for users.
Civil servants who visit an MBS@Gov clinic will no longer need to submit
their medical claims through the Pac@Gov system when they return to the office.
The medical claim will be submitted electronically by the clinic to the
Government.
In addition, civil servants and their dependants visiting an MBS@Gov clinic
would only need to pay their share of medical bills upfront and the Government’s
share of the medical bills will be paid by the Government to the clinics
directly. As such, civil servants can pay less cash upfront when visiting
MBS@Gov participating clinics.
When visiting these clinics, civil servants and their dependants only need to
display their Public Service Card or Civil Service Cards for identification
purposes.
About 700 private clinics in Singapore are currently participating in the
MBS@Gov programme. The clinics can be identified by the blue
MBS@Gov
sticker displayed at the entrance of the clinics. A list of MBS@Gov
participating clinics is also made available at
www.pac.gov.sg.
