A total of 31 participants turned up at the AUPE Group Bowling Tournament held at the Orchid Bowl, Orchid Country Club on 1 March 2008.
The tournament kicked off at 9.00 a.m. with participants rolling 6 games each in the respective Individual Male, Individual Female and Team Categories. The half-day competition attracted bowlers from 5 branches such as the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Staff Branch, National Parks Board Staff Branch, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) Staff Branch, Ministry of Education (MOE) Staff Branch, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) Senior Staff Branch and AUPE Multi-Purpose Co-operative’s institutional member, the Housing and Development Board Staff Union (HDBSU).

Following the in-house tournament, a total of 12 participants represented AUPE in the NTUC Club Inter-Union Bowling Cum Masters held on 8 and 9 March 08 at the same venue.
Our Ladies Team competed against 13 teams and managed to clinch 4th position for the Ladies Team Category with total points of 1845 pins.
Mr Jake Wang from MOE Staff Branch and Ms Siti Hafidza from ICA Staff Branch also qualified for the Masters Event after beating 172 and 52 participants respectively.
Of the 40 qualifiers, Mr Jake Wang was placed 15th while Ms Siti Hafidza was placed 6th out of 9 qualifiers.
MOE Staff Branch is the Champion for the Team Event.

The National Environment Agency (NEA) has on 18 February 2008 awarded our Club's Cafeteria an "A" Grading with a certificate for "Excellence in Cleanliness and Food Hygiene". This is the third consecutive year that our food establishment has achieved an "A" Grading.
