		Back to Index        Rules and Regulations of the AUPE Sports and Recreation Club     15 Meeting of the Council and Quorum   15.1 A meeting of the Council shall be held at least once in every three months after seven (7) days' notice to all Council members. The purpose of this meeting interalia is to examine the accounts and discuss the affairs of the Club. At other times, a meeting of the Council must be called by the Chairman on the request in writing of four (4) or more Council Members and stating the purpose for which it is required. The Chairman may also call a meeting of the Council at any time by giving four (4) days' notice. At least one half of the Council must be present for its proceedings to be valid. The Chairman of the council meeting shall have a second or casting vote.   15.2 Minutes shall be taken of all the proceedings of all General / Council / Standing / Sub-Committee Meetings.   15.3 Any member of the Council absenting himself from two consecutive meetings without explanation satisfactory to the Council shall cease to be a member thereof.   Back to Index   Back to Top
